This is Misery Hawke, from the Dragon Age 2 fanfiction, Hurtled into Chaos by Wyl. She is a cynical rogue who has a strong sense of loyalty to her family. This is a Hawke that I really like because of the strong character development and more realistic attitudes and character interactions. Misery isn't her actual name, but she goes by it since arriving in Kirkwall...:)

Misery is the seventh Christmas gift to the people at the Cheeky Monkeys of Dragon Age forum...:) I really hope I get all the ones I want to do done before Christmas...^^;

Thing that always gets to me with this girl is how tough she is. She doesn't cut corners, not once. You totally got that down. And she looks amazing, as all others :D

Wonderful expression...you caught her "don't mess with me or mine" look but also the vulnerability that lurks just behind her facade. She's a multi-faceted character, intense and yet almost wistful at times and you've captured all of that. As always, your work is just gorgeous.

You did such a fantastic job on this. I love the hair best of all, in part because I can appreciate just how difficult it is to draw/paint hair convincingly like you've done here, and in part because you've nailed just how I picture it in my head :) And the expression you gave her is perfect. Really, the entire portrait is just excellent.

Thank you for doing this. I've never had someone draw one of my characters before, and to have it come completely out of the blue (I hadn't seen your art thread on CMDA) was more than just a pleasant surprise. And when I started on 'Hurtled into Chaos' I had some worry that readers wouldn't connect with her and therefore wouldn't get into the story, so to have her inspire artwork is almost mind boggling to me :) I'm grateful.

Thank you for your compliments. I'm glad that I got your vision of her just right...:) Whenever I do something like this, I just hope I get it as close as possible.

And you are most welcome. I love drawing characters from the stories I read. And you're story is one of the better ones out there. I have found the the stories that are written my our fellow Monkeys are some of the best on FF.Net, your's included. To me, writing is another form of art and it's one that I love to try to do and enjoy.
