Description
”Come in,” Mizuko called out when someone knocked on the door to her hospital room. A small smile appeared on her face when her cousin, Uchiha Takuei, entered.
“It’s good to see you, Takuei-san,” Mizuko smiled as she gestured with her head for him to come over to the bed. At the moment, she was holding her newborn baby girl, Rui, close to her. She smiled again when the teen glanced down at the baby.
“She’s…very tiny,” Takuei remarked, taking a finger to brush back some of the baby’s silky black hair. “She looks like you.”
Mizuko smirked a little before replying. “I would hope so since I am her mother.” Takuei chuckled softly as his eyes softened while baby Rui yawned a little but stayed asleep.
The young woman then did something that Takuei did not expect. She sat up further and gently put Rui into his arms. He panicked a bit, but did not let his cousin see that. He then settled down when Mizuko gently moved his hands and arms to correctly hold the baby.
“She’s…cute,” Takuei said softly, inwardly feeling some awe at holding such a tiny and helpless being. He then looked into Mizuko’s eyes, his own ebony orbs conveying how he truly felt at holding his cousin’s baby.
Mizuko watched him hold her child gently in his arms for a few minutes before a serious look came across her face. “Takuei-san, I have something important to ask you and I hope you will say yes. I want you to be Rui’s godfather…”
Takuei gaped at his cousin, for once forgetting to put on the emotionless mask. “Me? Why me? Why not one of your brothers-in-law?”
“Because you were one of the first people in this village to welcome me. And also, you are more than a cousin to me, Takuei-san… you are more like a brother to me than anything else and I have complete trust in you.”
Takuei didn’t know what to say or feel at the moment. Something so small and precious was being entrusted to him and it made him feel honored…
“Mizuko-san…I would be honored to be the baby’s godfather…”
I was doodling a bit again while trying to come up with some drawings for a couple of contests. This idea popped into my head of Uchiha Takuei, an OC owned by
, holding the newborn baby Rui, my OC Tatsuno Mizuko’s newborn baby. I think that this turned out cute and that =mistressmaxwell likes the story for this drawing…^_^
