Well, here's the latest in the Firefly sketches I have been doing lately...
River Tam, the 17 year old younger sister of the ship's doctor, Simon Tam. Her brother stated himself that he was considered a genius and that River makes him look like a total idiot. He said that she was correcting his spelling when she was only 3 years old.
She was then sent to the Academy, a place for gifted children to learn. Turns out it was a place that experimented on these genius children. In River's case, her head was cut into and parts of her brain were removed. Whatever was done to her, made her a Reader, a person who can hear the thoughts of others...and it made her a little crazy. To understand more, you should watch Firefly and the movie that came after it, Serenity.
My favorite line of her's was in the series, the episode titled "Trash". The merc, his name is Jayne, is in the infirmary and can't move. River says, "And I can kill you with my brain." XD!
